Pond Area of Merwin Meadows Closed - Wilton, CT Patch

Those parts of Merin Meadows Park that are not the playground area or the walking trail have been closed until further notice, according to a press release sent out by Stephen Pierce, Director of the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department.

The town will be conducting silt-removal procedures from the pond, much of which is the result of past storms. This requires "heavy equipment and stock piles of materials on the beach area of the park, which is closed to the public," wrote Pierce.?

Allen's Meadow is also closed for the winter, to be repoened to the public in late March.
